A little over a month ago Jacob and I went to Kauai to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. Last time Jacob and I went to the islands together we were in high school and went to Oahu, so I was really excited for him to see Kauai. As you may remember I was just on Kauai and Maui in August, but Jacob did not come on that trip. My sister and her kids live on Kauai and we hadn’t seen them since our wedding so we were both so excited to see them!

We spent 10 days on the island and had such an amazing time. Jacob and I were able to do all of the usual touristy things but also got to live like locals since we were staying with my sister. My favorite part about the week was being able to spend so much quality time with Jacob and not doing as much work, haha, and of course hanging out with my family. My niece Cyra and my nephew Liam are the oldest of my 7 nieces/nephews and I love spending every second I can with them when we are in the same city. Jacob just told me his favorite part of Kauai was playing golf…haha…he will probably feel bad later on when he sees what my favorite things were, LOL! Anyways, he said it was the most beautiful golf course he has ever seen, I am not a huge golfer (literally not one at all) but I would have to agree with him. The golf course literally sat on the water and the views were insane! I am not sure when the next time we will be back to the islands but I am hoping pretty soon because my sister is PREGNANT! She is due February, so maybe I will go out around that time to help with the new addition to the family 🙂 If you want to check out our week in Kauai more visually watch our travel diary below!
